Much like a scrimmage or dress rehearsal, taking practice tests under realistic, timed conditions removes the mystery of the test, reduces test anxiety, and increases confidence.
Practice tests are a crucial component of an AP exam prep program, giving students exposure to the test so they get a better feel for the types of questions as well as a sense of what sitting for a full-length test is like. Students will also get a sense of the content that the test covers, areas they feel they need to review, and also areas that they might not have time to cover through their class and might need to learn.
It takes an average of 4 to 6 weeks of tutoring sessions to prepare for AP exams. It is recommended that students sit the practice exams as a part of their Summit tutoring program, however, students do not have to be enrolled in a Summit program to sit the practice exams.
