Much like a scrimmage or dress rehearsal, taking practice tests under realistic, timed conditions removes the mystery of the test, reduces test anxiety, and increases confidence. Practice tests are a crucial component of any successful test prep program. They provide a starting baseline for test planning and help track progress toward score goals.

Complimentary Score Report & Consultation

After your student takes a proctored practice test with Summit, you and your student will receive a detailed score report including both multiple-choice and free-response sections, completed by expertly trained AP essay scorers. You will also receive a complimentary consultation with one of our Program Directors, who will guide you through a detailed analysis of the report, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and provide advice and guidance on the right testing plan for your student.

A $50 fee is required to receive feedback on the free-response question portion of each exam. The fee is charged after the student takes the exam. There is no cost for sitting the multiple-choice section of the exam, regardless of enrollment status with Summit.

Many Ways to Take a Proctored Practice Test with Summit

We provide multiple testing options so students can gain the practice and exposure to standardized testing that they need in the setting that works best for them.

Recommended

In-Person Proctor — Paper and Pencil Test

In-person paper and pencil testing most closely simulates the official testing experience. We offer in-person proctored practice tests at locations throughout Southern New England. Several safety guidelines have been put in place to protect the health of our proctors and students.

Self-Proctor — Paper and Pencil Test

Self-proctoring is for students who cannot attend one of our scheduled practice test dates. For these paper and pencil practice tests, the student will receive the requested AP Practice test in the mail with timing instructions. With this option, students get to experience the official testing format and structure, but not the live proctoring experience.

Online – Computer-Based Test

The practice tests on our digital test platform mirror the timing and difficulty of official tests, providing an excellent simulation of the test day experience.

We are providing multiple options so that students can get the practice and exposure they need to their AP Exams prior to test day. Students can take our practice AP Exams at a scheduled time or on their own schedule. Contact info@mytutor.com to schedule extended time accommodations.

In-Person Proctored Practice Exam registration ends Thursday at 12 pm for Saturday tests.

Please note: for the self-proctored option, the testing material will be sent via USPS. Please allow up to one week for delivery (example: register by 12pm two Thursdays prior to the practice test date).
