"My son's tutor was excellent - very accommodating to our schedule. My son wanted to improve his English SAT score and we only had a few weeks before the next test. His tutor focused on the areas where my son needed help. He gave excellent strategies for understanding the readings and taking the test."

Karen A., Parent

"My daughter’s score increased over 100 points from her first practice test to her most current one. Her tutor is very helpful and explains everything so it’s easy to understand."

Lisa T., Parent

"My son had an excellent experience with his tutor. He came up with a solid plan for preparing my son to take the SAT in late March and then quickly pivoted when our son needed to take the test sooner than planned. From the first session, they established an easy rapport. Our son mentioned that his tutor taught him concepts in English that were entirely new to him. I appreciated the thoughtful and detailed post session summaries, which kept me in the loop while allowing my son to take the lead in managing his work between sessions."

Julie G., Parent

"He is a phenomenal tutor who helped our son achieve a score even better than we had hoped. He was methodical in breaking down the areas that needed improvement and coached our son how to overcome his weaknesses. We couldn't have asked for a better tutor."

Susan K., Parent

"Our son's tutor significantly helped him improve his score on the SAT. He particularly needed help with his math score and this was accomplished"

Alexis B., Parent

"My son's tutor was extremely knowledgeable and approachable and he helped him achieve his highest English SAT score."

When Should You Take the SAT?

Choosing the right SAT test date is an important step in your student’s test prep journey. We recommend allowing 10–16 weeks of preparation leading up to test day. Since most students take the SAT two to three times to maximize their scores, a well-planned timeline can make all the difference.

SAT Test Date Options

National SAT Test Dates

The SAT is offered multiple times a year on national test dates. Planning ahead ensures your student can prepare effectively and take advantage of multiple testing opportunities.

School Day SAT

Some schools offer the SAT on designated weekdays through The College Board’s fee-based School Day SAT program. Check with your student’s school to see if this option is available.

How to Register

To register for an SAT test date, your student must create an account on The College Board website and select their preferred test date and location.

By planning ahead and choosing the right test date, your student can approach the SAT with confidence!
